Parents should pay extra attention to this.

I've been meaning to make this for a while now actually. Got bored of setting up Doctor Whooves 3 and decided to take a small break. I also mean to make a Driving Etiquette 101 sometime in the future. Maybe after the 3rd episode is done. Who knows?

This whole thing was inspired by one 3 year old sitting directly behind me while I watched "Brave" and her mother who obviously thought that watching a movie was more important than taking your child out to the hallway to pacify them. If I really want to watch a movie and had to take my 2 1/2 year old nephew with me, I'd be prepared to go home early if he started fussing.

Leave a comment. I love comments.

A lot of theaters have a no tolerance policy. Kid starts screaming, securtiy escorts them out. No refund.

About the whole cellphone and texting crap in the theaters...A news article in the paper says that Kids do this because they're bored...Hell, one Kid went to see Thor with her friends, and she didn't really want to go see it, even though I thought Thor was alright, I don't pull out my phone just because there's a scene that doesn't have action in it...If you didn't want to see the movie in the first place, remember, the movie industry and your friends aren't forcing you to go watch it, just STAY THE FUCK AWAY, AND LEAVE EVERYONE ELSE IN PEACE!

I actually saw Batman earlier today. I found it extremely boring. 4 hour movie and 1.5 hours could have been cut out.

4 hours??? gezz the guy that plays batman is not even a good one... has there ever been a good batman? lol there has been a good superman and wolverine and Charles Xavier...

but they just cannot find a good batman. even heath Leger (R.I.P) was a great... joker... and jack Nickleson also.

oh well i don't usually like batman movies that much anyway. at least the new ones. I just wanted to show my support for those people in Colorado...

But im sure someone is planning a flash mob to one soon.

I'm one of those idiots who for some reason can't stop talking. I like trying to predict what happens next and if I'm watching the movie with a friend I always seem to piss them off. It's not intentional, I just have a high speed imagination and a problem with being quiet.

I'm sure you won't piss a lot of people off if you plan to see a movie on its last weekend showing, when almost no one is in the theater.

Dude, I feel so sorry for you. I went to the midnight premiere of Brave and there were no young kids there, so I had a blast!
The only problem, though, was that my BFF's cousin (who is thirteen) also came along, and she kept gasping and covering her eyes and taking deep breaths during any mildly scary part of the movie. XP Thankfully, I was a few seats away from her, and only heard her gasping once or twice, but my friend's brother (who was sitting next to her) told about how ANNOYING it was!

my GAWSH! i am so laughing hard right now!
I have to confess though, i disobey more than half of those rules!

-I go in the back when I'm with my guy friends.. so we can yell out crazy limericks and punchline-replies to certain scenes.. and not bother the majority of the other people.
-When i go with my girlfriend, we go either in the middle or up front, depending on how well the movie might be. We occasionally kiss, but we save the spit-swappin' for the ride back home! XD
-I keep my phone on vibrate since my father has a knack of calling me at the worst timing. most of the time its for something important, but still!

oh and if i go watch a movie alone and people around me bother or distract me, I'm not shy of yelling at them and/or throwing ice cubes at them to remind them where they are!

The only one I disagree with is the outlawing of seat reservations which can, often, contradict directly with the rule before it. I've been in many situations where one member of the group was late or getting good seats was something we were really concerned about (for example- friend with bad eyesight needs to sit near the front but if we wait for the whole group to arrive, those seats will be taken). As a single movie-goer, I'd also rather someone save their seats than have to sit next to a split group who yells across the aisle to their friends or to have to go through awkward seating re-arranging so someone can sit by their friend when the seat they need has already been taken.

Sooo true. And I rarely go to movie theaters. The only movies I watched in theaters in the last 3 years (2010-2012) was..... (in order) The Losers, Toy Story 3, Salt, Red, Deathly Hallows Part 1, Deathly Hallows Part 2, The Smurfs, The Hunger Games, and The Avengers. 9 movies in total over the past 3 years.

And usually when I get there to watch, everything you said is what I saw in theaters. I think those are some of the main reasons why I rarely watch movies in theaters.

I work at a theater and I totally agree with this. I don't work floor but I do have to clean the trays that people use. You won't believe what I find in those things O_o. Also be respectful when ordering your food, I hate people who just expect perfect service and we can't do a dang thing about it. We just have to smile, say sorry, and just try to make the guest happy. And a lot of people tend not to be so social when it comes ordering your food, We can talk while we get your food, don't just brush us off. But great video man! Woot for rants! =D

I'll confess that I've been noisy during movies from time to time, but not too often, and not too noisy. If you're a chatty moviegoer, go see a matinee on a weekday or something. The theater will be deserted, and you can sing opera if you feel like it.

Also, if you're making a driving etiquette movie, please PLEASE go over rules for bikes! Giving them four inches of room on the edge of the road is not a reasonable amount of space, people! Just because you don't actually hit them doesn't mean it's not your fault when the run off the edge of the road and crash because you passed waaaay too close. If there's not room to pass a bike, WAIT UNTIL THERE IS. I had a really nasty crash once because of an idiot in a car who just had to pass me while another car was coming the other way. OK, rant over. But yeah, if you make another video, put something about that in!

Thank you for mentioning that! Bikes never occurred to me. I recently had a run-in (heh, accident joke) with a car who hit me while I was crossing an intersection. I wasn't hurt, but the back wheel was bent to hell. Hit and run, too.

I agree, there is a certain amount of respect that should be given to bikers. The same goes for the bikers to the cars. For one, if you are in a group, DON'T BIKE NEXT TO EACH OTHER AND TALK! Common sense, but I am always amazed at the idiots who do not know this. When I see a bunch of lined up bikers, I have the strangest urge to go bowling. Also, again common sense but I still see it, I do so hate the bikers who stick to the driving lanes rather than the shoulders of the road. I understand when there is no room. I do not get it when the people are idiots and are halfway into the main lane when there is a six foot shoulder.

Yeah, there are times when bikes can and should be out of the way. However, the law (for Louisiana at least) says that bikes have the same rights as cars as far as riding on the street (exclusion being interstates). Not all roads have shoulders that permit enough space between cyclist and automobile and a lot of the bigger shoulders have broken glass and other debris littered all over that would destroy a bike tire. With the still high gas prices, bike-riding is becoming more common and we need to know how best to handle bike laws.

I understand that, unless they are doing something really stupid, as I said. By this I mean talking with friends and taking up too much space, or riding in the driving lane when there is tons of room and no perils on the shoulder.
